This is a world of contrast. With a gesture, She moves everything. Meanwhile, our lives are built slowly, brick by brick, with a storm always looming over us.
But monarchs are like this: for them, opulence is the standard. And royalty, is simple.
Simple Royal is the most standard and playable series released so far — a standalone mini-series featuring only two decks: Red and Blue.
As the name suggests, the project is built on contrast. Some choices are maximalist and opulent, yet the decks themselves are extremely playable, minimal, and simple.
The usual “sexiness” of the Queens was toned down to keep gameplay as clean and readable as possible.
The Red and Blue editions also feature different back designs, allowing them to be used for a wide variety of games.
At the same time, the series is extremely limited: only 500 copies per color.
While the design is intentionally minimal, the result still feels lavish thanks to the blackletter indexes and the gold cold foil applied on both sides of the cards.
The tuck boxes are produced by Kingstar using premium black paper, with three layers of foil on the outside and one layer inside.
