What is this?

Years ago, I had a “Collection Starter” page that allowed people to buy TWI decks at better prices. Now it’s back, improved.

Why the discounts are so high?

Since I started TWI in 2014, I followed a simple philosophy: lower prices at launch, higher prices later. The downside is that new collectors can face a monumental task when trying to complete a collection. This page offer a good solution: bundles!!!

Are these offers temporary?

Yes. I plan to change the bundles over time, randomly and without notice, depending on many factors (for example, if a deck becomes too low in stock to remain in a bundle). If you see something you like, don’t wait.

Can I ask a bundle customized for me?

Yes — feel free to email giovanni@thirdway.it. I can’t guarantee discounts like 50% off, since those bundles are specially curated to be extremely affordable.

What about shipping?

I currently offer free shipping to the USA and competitive worldwide rates. These bundles are also designed to optimize shipping automatically — the more you add, the more you save on shipping. Shipping is experimental and may change, especially free US shipping. Everything on this page is shipped from the USA.

Starting a TWI Collection? Read here!

Want to start collecting Thirdway Industries decks but don’t know where to begin? Here are a few simple tips to help you find the decks you like, understand their rarity, and get them at the best possible price.

1. Buy decks when they are launched

This is the #1 rule if you want to collect TWI while spending as little as possible. TWI decks are intentionally sold at a very low launch price compared to their later retail price. I do this because I want to give the best possible deal to the people who support a project before it is produced and before they can even see the final product. Most TWI decks are launched through Kickstarter, where you can often get them at their absolute best price. If you already know you want a deck, don’t wait for retail.

2. Use the Collection Starter

The Collection Starter is the easiest way to build a TWI collection quickly. I’ve put together several bundles featuring different TWI decks, with substantial discounts compared to buying the decks individually. They are some of the best-value deals available on the TWI website, especially if you are interested in getting several decks at once. Check the bundles above and find the one that suits you best.

3. Understand the difference between Unlimited, Limited, Excellence and EE

Not all TWI decks are equally rare.

  • [Unlimited] decks are the most accessible TWI releases. They are usually priced around $15–25, are generally produced in quantities above 2,000 copies, and may also be available through other playing card retailers.
  • [Limited] decks are harder to find and generally more expensive. They are usually priced around $39–70, produced in quantities below 2,000 copies, and sold exclusively through TWI.
  • I never reprint a deck, so even an Unlimited deck is ultimately a finite product. “Unlimited” means more widely available, not available forever.
  • [Excellence] decks are the more exclusive and luxurious side of TWI: rarer editions, experimental projects, special finishes, gilding and other premium treatments.
  • [EE — Eternal Editions] are a category of their own. These are Patreon-exclusive decks, produced in very limited quantities and generally extremely difficult to find outside Patreon.

4. Keep an eye on special offers

From time to time I run seasonal sales and special promotions. During these periods I may: lower the price of selected decks, create special bundles, offer unusually large discounts, temporarily bring back some products that are not permanently sold out. These offers are usually temporary, so the best way to catch them is to join the newsletter.

5. If you really love TWI, consider becoming a Patron

TWI Patreon is the best way to access the rarest side of Thirdway Industries. For $30/month, Patrons receive physical rewards throughout the year — around 10 decks of different rarities, depending on the year and the projects. The biggest advantage is access to Eternal Editions (EE): Patreon-exclusive decks that are produced in very small quantities and are usually extremely difficult — and often very expensive — to obtain outside Patreon. If you want to build a serious TWI collection, Patreon is by far the easiest way to access these releases at their original price.
